為何選擇輔仁
The first reason is the atmosphere of academic freedom. Compared to China and Singapore, Taiwan provides better infrastructure for scholars to develop new knowledge. Faster internet speed and online library systems support us in research.
The second reason is AACSB accreditation. I decided to join the College of Management since they are already accredited by the AACSB. This would be advantageous for those who can graduate from the program.
專業領域與學習
I focus on the third social organization, especially in cooperatives. Together with my supervisor Prof. Jersan Hu (胡哲生), we develop new insight on the strategy to lift cooperatives to become the nation’s vital economic pillar, especially for developing the country. The scope of my research is South East Asian countries.
One thing that I really admire in Taiwan is how the professors change from being a teacher to a co-worker. As a research team, Prof. Jersan Hu (胡哲生) and Prof. Anthony Kuo (郭國泰) always spent lots of time learning together. They are willing to appreciate my insights and opinions. They accompanied me during field surveys in a remote region of West Kalimantan – Indonesia. Through participatory research, we succeeded in presenting our insight to the indigenous society in Kalimantan.
對未來發展的助益
I think since the College of Management of FJCU has already been accredited by AACSB, it is an advantage for me as a future alumnus of the school. I have seen that so many international agencies are willing to employ professionals who graduate from AACSB-accredited schools.
Moreover, in Taiwan, I can develop strong networks with other international students for future collaboration. I will certainly take those opportunities once I graduate from the program.
最大的收穫
The first is language skills. As means of communication, the capability to speak the local language is very important, especially in dealing with the older generation of business leader.
The second is due to the support of technology. Provided with a high-speed internet connection, I can improve my knowledge through many sources and learning methods.
The third is the collaboration with supervisors and scholars. Great support from our supervisors as well as the professorship has expanded my knowledge.
